Episode 18: Coming of Age
What we discussed:

"Don't eat too much cheese; it's very fattening." --Mita
We present Fanny's (aka Bootie's mother in law) recipe for ratatouille. This delicious vegetable dish always reminds Bootie of relaxing summer visits to Fanny's house in the country.
Bootie and Bossy discuss the bittersweet transition of our children's moves to college. We discovered this little gem of an article which accurately describes the roller coaster of emotions we go through. Thankfully Bossy had her knitting to keep her company on the looooong ride from Philly to MA!
The project Bossy is working on is the Super Swirl Shawl by Trudy Fedorko of Ewe 2 Yarn. Bootie selected the kit at the Flock Fiber Festival in Seattle.
Bootie made Marie Greene's (Olive Knit) Felt Cute Tote. She used Biches et Buches Le Gros Lambswool in soft blue green and very light pink. While she was getting the yarn at La Mercerie on Bainbridge Island, who should be there but Aimee Gille of La Bien Aimee! Bootie took the opportunity to get her to sign a copy of her Worsted book for Bossy (and take a selfie). Bootie mentioned that the very charming shop, Lil Weasel in Paris carries LBA yarn. Bossy mentioned Carrie Mulligan who makes felted hats and has a very interesting story.
Bossy is very excited that she doesn't have to put on her tombstone that she wasted a lot of time trying to find her cursor! To change the size of your cursor, go to settings, search for "mouse pointer size" and you can choose the size and color of your mouse pointer (and cursor). You're welcome!
The Better than Bouillon that Bossy's son couldn't find after he put it away himself. And she had to send him a picture of it. Sigh.
