Episode 42: Interview with Debie Frable of Serial Knitters
What we discussed:

Bootie and Bossy were delighted to interview Debie Frable, the owner of and dyer for Serial Knitters. Debie took us behind the scenes for a fascinating glimpse at the world of hand-dyed yarns. Although Debie considers herself a glorified washer woman thanks to all the grunt work of prepping and dying yarn, she is also an artist. She gets to work with color every day and she wouldn't have it any other way.
A few things we discussed: Doodle Decks, a great way to mix and match motifs for color work.
You can find Debie at her website: www.serialknitters.com, on instagram as @serialknitters, or Blue Sky as @serialknitters.bsky.social and at these upcoming fiber festivals: Fiber Fusion, Flock, and the PNW Expo. You can also find Debie and her yarn at Acorn Street Yarn shop in Seattle.
About the Recipe:
Debie shared her "killer" Sangria!
Sangria--this makes a lot!
1 bottle Cabernet (Debie recommends Freak Show Cabernet)
1.5 cups brandy (E & J works fine)
1 cup orange juice
Frozen juice (Dole Orange/Peach/Mango)--if you can't find it in concentrate form, the kind that comes in a carton is fine. If you can't find that, use an extra quart orange juice.
Cherry juice to taste (optional)
Brown sugar/white sugar to taste - 1/2 cup give or take
Cut up fruit - apple, orange, lemon, lime
4 cups water if using the concentrated juice (omit water if using fresh juice)
Mix all up and let marinate for 2 hours
